Hiring: General Manager

Beachtree Properties is looking for a General Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of Secrets and Heavenly Inn (Secrets/Heavenly) as the “Manager on duty”. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring optimum performance and continual growth of both the Retail and Wholesale business. This position coordinates, directs, and manages all Secrets/Heavenly employees and operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction, and efficiency, - while maintaining brand standards, as well as upholding the Beachtree Properties, LLC (Beachtree) mission.

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

  • This Position manages the business initiatives of Secrets/Heavenly through process management. It creates, implements and maintains business processes and related policies and procedures :
    • Develop sales strategies to support and exceed inventory goals
    • Monitor reservations daily to track goals and identify opportunities
    • Track revenue origins, i.e. Wholesale vs. Retail
    • Review weekly forecast reports to prepare for adjusting business trends
    • Manage Operating Expenses to increase profitability
    • Ensure property remains in compliance with all Local Laws regarding Fire Safety and Federal Laws regarding OSHA
    • Comply with Beachtree Properties Reporting requirements, including Headquarter support departments
  • Build partnerships to promote the Beachtree brand through marketing and new business development, - creating an external network to draw upon. Work internally with business partners to promote the Beachtree mission:
    • Generate a presence in the community both professionally (Chamber of Commerce, Hotel Associations, CVB, etc.) and personally as a representative of your property in charitable events and activities
    • Partner with Marketing Department to develop and execute Marketing strategies geared towards increasing business and establishing brand recognition
    • Remain up-to-date on current Hospitality trends to ensure competitive edge
    • Maintains relationships with local community and key people to increase property’s visibility within the local market
    • Identify areas of process improvement and leverage best practices by working with appropriate corporate resources as necessary
  • Establish a high standard of Customer Service synonymous with Beachtree Properties, creating a culture of Hospitality and clientele:
    • Review guest surveys on all applicable sites, including Market Metrix to ensure 100% satisfaction, monitoring the following for actions needed:
      • Guest interaction with staff
      • Property feedback
    • Address customer service issues that can be resolved without Resort Operations Manager (ROM ) intervention
    • Coordinate with necessary departments/brands to handle room adjustments during over bookings, including client relocations
    • Ensure the property is maintained to brand standards
    • Provide guests extraordinary service through attention to detail,- using the client’s name and being aware of any special events and/or celebrations
    • Promote a professional and service oriented environment,- driven by the entire staff
  • Identify, recruit and hire top talent to successfully drive business goals. Manage performance to promote a culture of excellence and growth,- developing staff to operate independent of supervision:
    • Work with Corporate Human Resources Department and Resort Operations Manager to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Customer Experience Training; Employee Policies and Procedures; and Employee Compensation
    • Maintain the highest quality of staff through effective recruiting, hiring, retention, coaching, succession planning and training.
    • Partner with Corporate Recruiter to identify qualified applicants
    • Help create a fun and inviting work culture that matches our corporate goals
    • Motivates and gives direction to all employees.
    • Communicates all policies and procedures to entire staff. Conducts regular meetings to provide various information including company communications, policy reviews, local property activities, goals, etc.
    • Adheres to federal, state and local laws employment related laws and regulations.
    • Conducts coaching/counseling sessions; performance evaluations; prepares performance improvement plans, disciplinary documentation; conducts terminations.
    • Ensures that employee related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with company policies.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position all candidates must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Business Administration, preferred; Associate’s Degree, required
  • 5-7 years of experience in Hospitality Management, required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite; Knowledge of RoomMaster, a plus
  • Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to live on-site

Hiring: Maintenance Person

Secrets and Heavenly Inn are looking for an experienced Maintenance Person to oversee the proper functioning of the property. It is responsible for ensuring all units are operating appropriately. This position maintains the common areas, as well as the grounds. It addresses all guests’ concerns in regards to maintenance.

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for promoting the Beachtree brand, through maintaining the property to brand standards-, establishing a high standard of excellence and expectation:
    • Maintain the interior of the hotel to include the following:
      • Makes Minor repairs to toilets, sinks, laundry room, sump pumps, faucets, and showers as needed
      • Repairs and replaces stove burners and exhaust fans, as needed
      • Ensure smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are working properly
      • Maintain laundry room, including checking, clearing, and replacing dryer vents
      • Replace switches, plugs, circuit breakers, and light fixtures when necessary
      • Check lighting throughout the hotel—units and common areas
      • Maintain doors, including repairs of hinges and locks, and rekeying
      • Check and replace heating and air conditioning filters, as scheduled
      • Perform basic dry wall repairs, painting, and tile repair

    • Maintain grounds of the hotel , including the following:
      • Keep grills clean and in working order
      • Attend to the pool and/or spa, performing minor repairs and maintenance to equipment
      • Straighten deck furniture daily, repairing as needed
      • Clean sidewalks and pool decks
      • Perform landscaping, as needed
      • Keep property clean and clear of trash and debris
      • Place trash reciprocals out and/bring back weekly

  • Provide a variety of administrative and miscellaneous support to the Beachtree team to ensure a successful stay for each guest and promote guest retention:
    • Maintain an organized work area, ensuring the maintenance areas are clean, neat, and stocked
    • Assist with daily/weekly unit inspections, when needed
    • Use downtime to monitor Reservations updates,- communicating to the team as need
    • Assist Beachtree team whenever possible with guest concerns
    • Assist Housekeeping staff , when needed
    • Drive as needed on behalf of the company

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position all candidates must have the following:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or training in Carpentry, Flooring, and Painting; in a Hospitality environment, preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Job Costing

Secrets and Heavenly Inn are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Housekeepers to assist in maintaining the brands presentation standards. It is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the inn. It addresses all guests’ concerns in regards to property standards.

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for promoting the Beachtree brand, through upholding brand standards-, establishing a high standard of excellence and expectation:
    • Cleans all bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, ad bedrooms
    • Makes all beds
    • Maintains flooring in all assigned units, including cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming
    • Prepares linens needed in units
    • Responsible for unit detailing: dusting, polishing of furniture, cleaning of baseboards, hanging drapery, and placing sectional rugs
    • Window maintenance: washing all windows, including sills
    • Disposal of all waste in the appropriate area
    • Takes unit inventory and replenishes necessary items
    • Reports any damage to supervisor immediately
    • Offers great customer service, when applicable

Qualifications:

Secrets and Heavenly Inn is looking for a dynamic, out-going Front Desk Representative. This position assures the highest level of customer service, as the guests’ first point of contact. It is responsible for ensuring the guests are made to feel welcome from arrival and addressing all the clients concerns. It coordinates front desk activities to assure that guests requests are handled in a timely manner, by ensuring requests are directed to the appropriate department.

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for establishing a high standard of Customer Service for all clients, creating a perception of approachability and a welcoming environment:
    • Process guests check-ins/check-outs
    • Confirms phone and online reservations with guests
    • Date stamp, sort, and racks incoming mail and messages
    • Transmits and receives telephone messages
    • Answers inquires pertaining to hotel services and registration of guests
    • Maintains record of room availability and guests’ accounts
    • Computes bills , making any necessary adjustments and collects payment
    • Posts guest charges to the ledger for items such as food, liquor, and phone
    • Store guests’ valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box
